5. Selection & Installation Guidelines

  1. Match the cable diameter range according to the actual outer diameter of the cable, preferably within the middle interval to ensure sealing and clamping force.
  2. Select the thread according to the equipment interface; prefer the original thread of the equipment to avoid reducing the protection level with adapters.
  3. EPDM or silicone seals are recommended for outdoor, high-humidity, and salt-spray environments; NBR seals for oil-resistant applications.
  4. Tighten the compression nut evenly during installation; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to nylon threads. Use O-rings and gaskets to ensure IP68 sealing.
